Task time - cash parking meters
If you want cash parking meters back on the streets it is time for you to say so, now, today, no not tomorrow, now. Come on!
A task and finish group of the Business Management Overview and Scrutiny Committee is conducting a cross-party review into the costs and benefits of reintroducing cash meters in high streets and car parks.
If you live, work or trade within the borough, there is an opportunity for you to make a written submission which will form part of the evidence base used to shape the conclusions of the review.
If you would prefer to make your representation in person, the Group will be holding an evidence gathering meeting on Tuesday 11 February 2014 at 7.00pm at Hendon Town Hall, NW4 4BG. Members of the public are invited to attend to give their views and listen to the discussion.
Councillor Brian Gordon, Chairman of the Group said:
“Parking can be an issue for residents, businesses and traders. We want to understand whether there is any merit in reintroducing cash meters in Barnet high streets and car parks. I hope that members of the public will contribute to this review.”
If you would like to submit written evidence to the review or contribute to the discussion at the meeting on 11 February 2014, please contact Anita Vukomanovic on anita.vukomanovic@barnet.gov.uk or 0208 359 7034 by 12:00 noon on Tuesday 11 February 2014.
